Bishop Enock Okonji
Founder & Presiding Bishop
Leading CMMI with a focus on spiritual oversight, unity, and global ministry impact.
The Most Reverend Dr. Enock Z. Okonji is the Founder and Presiding Bishop of Christian Mission Ministry International (CMMI), a global apostolic and episcopal fellowship committed to advancing the Gospel, equipping Christian leaders, and strengthening the Church across nations. A respected pastor, theologian, educator, and ecumenical leader, Bishop Okonji has devoted more than four decades to Christian ministry, leadership development, missions, and church planting throughout Africa and beyond.
Born in Maseno, Kenya, Bishop Okonji accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1974, beginning a lifelong commitment to ministry and discipleship. He pursued theological and leadership studies in Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Germany, earning qualifications in theology, youth development, ecumenical studies, cooperative management, and a Bachelor of Divinity.
Ordained as a deacon in 1991 and a priest in 1992, Bishop Okonji was consecrated and enthroned as the first Bishop of Christian Mission Ministry in 2011. Since founding CMMI, he has provided visionary leadership to pastors, bishops, and congregations across multiple countries, emphasizing biblical faithfulness, servant leadership, missions, and the unity of the Body of Christ.
Throughout his distinguished career, Bishop Okonji has served in church, government, educational, and ecumenical leadership roles and has been recognized internationally for his contributions to youth development, Christian unity, and ministry. In 2017, he was awarded the Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) in recognition of his lifelong service in missions, evangelism, church administration, theological education, and episcopal leadership.
Today, Bishop Okonji continues to lead CMMI with a passion for raising faithful leaders, planting and strengthening churches, and proclaiming the Gospel with integrity, wisdom, and compassion throughout the world.
Bishop Dr. Jawwad J. Love
Bishop Dr. Jawwad J. Love serves as the Dean of the Episcopacy for Christian Mission Ministry International (CMMI), providing leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance for the College of Bishops and the global advancement of the Church. Consecrated as a Bishop in 2024, he is committed to equipping leaders, strengthening the episcopal office, and advancing CMMI's mission across nations.
In addition to his episcopal responsibilities, Bishop Love serves as Senior Pastor of Resurrection Fellowship Church in Springfield, Ohio, and is the Co-Founder and President of the Mbele Leadership Foundation, an international organization dedicated to developing transformational leaders through education, faith, and enterprise. A U.S. Army veteran, educator, and scholar, he holds a Doctor of Ministry in Global Christian Leadership from Methodist Theological School in Ohio.
His doctoral research, A New Rising: Exploring the Impact of "Soko" (Market) on Economic and Community Development Initiatives in the Black Church, reflects his passion for equipping the Church to be a catalyst for spiritual, economic, and community transformation. Through his ministry, teaching, and leadership, Bishop Love continues to inspire leaders to faithfully serve the Kingdom of God while transforming communities around the world.
